From Vision to movement

Our Story

TRUE TRANSFORMATION BEGINS AT THE MOMENT OF HIGHEST EMOTIONAL CONNECTION

Greg Hunting – from vision to movement

Greg Hunting is a visionary who uses the transformative power of music to connect people and drive positive change in the world. “A key motivation of my being and doing is to serve life.”, he explains. “That means giving something back for the incredible gift of my life through what I do.”

THE BIRTH OF A VISION

At live concerts, Greg often feels a unique energy – a feeling of connection, abundance, and joy. “I wondered how this powerful energy could be harnessed”, he says, describing the genesis of MUSIC LOVERS FOR A BETTER WORLD. Inspired by figures like Bob Geldof and Bono, he developed a concept where every concert becomes a catalyst for positive change.

THE COURAGE TO CHANGE

Greg’s own path is characterized by the courage to follow his inner voice. After more than two decades as a successful entrepreneur in his 300-year-old family business, he decided to pursue his true passion: music. “I’ve always had this fire burning inside me, this unstoppable urge to create my own music!”, Greg shares about his motivation. Today, he writes original songs and uses his artistic platform to touch and connect people. His debut album PERSONAL MATTERS was released in March 2024.

THE START OF THE MOVEMENT

Greg’s vision for MUSIC LOVERS FOR A BETTER WORLD extends far beyond individual concerts. “Just as the ‘Fridays for Future’ movement sparked collective awareness for climate protection, we want to raise awareness for social justice and equal opportunities worldwide.” Every concert becomes an opportunity to become part of a great movement through a simple donation. “When someone donates for the first time in their life, it changes something—maybe subtly, but irreversibly”, Greg believes. “It’s that moment of connection that transforms people and creates a collective sense of responsibility.”

Greg’s message

THE CALL TO ACTION

“We can’t wait for others to act.”, Greg emphasizes. His vision is for MUSIC LOVERS FOR A BETTER WORLD to grow into a global movement, connecting artists, audiences, and charitable projects in a powerful cycle of energy to make the world a better place.

Greg Hunting invites musicians and music lovers to become part of this transformative movement, supporting tangible social projects worldwide. “It’s all about doing! Let’s start it now!” His message is clear: together we can turn the magical moments of music into a sustainable movement for a better world.

A new form of social engagement doesn’t need any instructions, but emotional touch.

OUR GOALS

Build a global movement that uses the power of music for positive change.

Create a worldwide network of artists, supporters and project partners.

Raise collective awareness for global equity.

Generate measurable social impact through music.

We invite everyone to become part of this movement. Because only together can we make the world a better place, concert by concert, heart by heart.

What we do not tolerate

We stand for a world of connection and mutual respect. Therefore, we clearly distance ourselves from:

  • Any form of discrimination based on gender, sexual orientation, origin, religion, or age.
  • Individuals or organizations that spread violence or hate.
  • Projects or people that endanger or exploit children.
  • Extremist or anti-democratic endeavors.
  • Corrupt or non-transparent structures in the use of donations.

We reserve the right to terminate collaborations with persons or organizations that disregard these core values.

WAVE OF CHANGE

Every concert creates a ripple of change that extends far beyond the moment. Through concert donations, we enable education, medical care, and thus strengthen the sovereignty of the local project participants. But our vision goes deeper: we harness the positive energy of concert moments to create a new awareness for global equality of opportunity.

In this unique cycle of energy, every concert attendee and every artist becomes part of something bigger. At the same time, we always honor the dignity of the project participants and cultivate a profound connection between the participants, the musicians, and the audience.

This wave of change unfolds on multiple levels: it brings about a change in the local situation and at the same time creates an awareness of global connections. This leads to inner transformation in each individual and external change in the world. In this way, concert after concert, a growing movement for real transformation is created.

About the foundation

Music Lovers for a Better World is a non-profit foundation with a clear goal: 40 years after ‘Live Aid’, we want to create a global movement that uses the transformative power of music to bring about lasting change.

Based in Berlin, we’re building an international network that connects artists, concert attendees, and social projects in a unique cycle of energy. Our first partnership with Africa Amini Alama marks the beginning of this vision.

The foundation is led by people who believe in the power of music: founder and Chairman Greg Hunting, along with board members Jens Schlangenotto and Katrin Fiedel. Together, we’re working to build an operational team to bring this vision to life.

The foundation’s initial capital is provided by Greg Hunting. To realize our vision, we’re seeking additional partners who share our conviction: music can change the world – concert by concert, heart by heart.
